Merry Christmas, Holly & Family!
Holly’s favorite part about Christmas, aside from making crafts and baking delicious cookies, is seeing her children’s joy and excitement as they wake up early on Christmas morning.
Holly is mom to Thomas, age seven, Lucas, age five, Avery, age three, and Owen, 18 months. Four years ago, the family lost little Leo. He died at six weeks old after being born with a heart defect. To Holly, being a Mom is the best thing in the world, though the family has had some serious challenges in the last few years.
In addition to losing Baby Leo, Lucas was recently diagnosed with scoliosis. He is now in a back brace and will need surgery in the future and a new brace each year. Thomas is recovering from eye surgery, as he is 80% blind in one eye. Additionally, Holly’s husband’s work hours were just cut, significantly decreasing the family’s budget and making Christmas gifts seem unattainable. The family’s budget has always been tight as they are still paying off Leo’s medical and funeral bills. The two oldest boys are sleeping on fold out beds, which Holly has dreamed of replacing for years. The year, with all the added medical expenses, providing Christmas gifts for the kids seemed impossible, until the Earls Fam Foundation stepped in.
Viewers of the vlogs purchased new clothing and toys for the children. In addition, the family received household essentials like soap, paper towels, laundry detergent, and other necessary items, hoping to make Holly’s everyday life a little easier and to stretch the family’s budget further.
Holly became a member of the Earls Fam about three months before Rachel and Harold made their now famous pregnancy announcement. Her very favorite Earls Fam moment was the revealing of baby Leo’s name, as it reminds her of her own beloved little Leo and the short life he had. Holly calls being adopted by the Earls Fam Community for Christmas “the biggest blessing.” The support took the financial burden of Christmas off her back by providing her children with gifts. She treasured seeing the happiness and joy reflected on her children’s faces early Christmas morning.
Throughout this holiday season and beyond, please pray that Holly and her family are filled with hope and peace while they strive to love God, love people, make a difference and be thankful every day.
